Athlete's Thread, a leading provider of co-branded officially licensed NIL merchandise, is excited to announce the launch of a new jersey program for the University of Connecticut (UConn) for football, baseball, men's hockey, women's hockey, softball, men's soccer, and women's soccer. The program will feature over 125 athletes and 250 replica jerseys as well as shirts and other clothing.
This program is an extension of an already existing partnership between UConn, Athlete's Thread, and The Brandr Group. It will give fans and supporters of UConn athletics the opportunity to show their support for their favorite players with high-quality, officially licensed jerseys.
"We are thrilled to expand our partnership with UConn and offer fans a new way to show their support for their favorite athletes," said Karthik Shanadi, CEO of Athlete's Thread. "These jerseys are a great way to showcase the talent and dedication of these athletes and the UConn athletics program as a whole."
The jerseys will feature the names and numbers of some of UConn's most talented athletes, including Malik Dixon-Williams, Jackson Mitchell, and Victor Rosa for football, Ian Cooke and David Smith for baseball, Haley Coupal, Alexis Hastings, Grace Jenkins, Delaney Nagy, Meghan O'Neil, and Jana Sanden for softball, and Jake Black, Nick Capone, Mark D'Agostino, and Adam Dawe for hockey.
”Working with Athlete’s Thread has created a program that highlights the foundation and fundamentals of how group licensing brings Name, Image and Likeness to life for NCAA student athletes,” said Jim Neish, Vice President of Licensing for Brandr Group. “With a program that benefits both men and women athletes from a variety of sports, fans of UConn athletics can now support and cheer on their favorite Husky athletes.”
“We are incredibly excited to launch our first wave of Athletes Thread NIL jerseys for UConn,” said Kyle Muncy, UConn Director of Brand Partnerships. “The ability to help our student-athletes generate revenue and also get some alternate and retro jerseys into the market for many different sports is a huge win for UConn fans. We are thrilled that Athletes Thread has been as engaged as they have and willing to provide such a great assortment for Husky fans across as many sports as possible.”
The jerseys are now available for purchase on the Athlete's Thread website and at select retailers. Fans can visit the website to browse the full selection of UConn jerseys and other officially licensed NIL merchandise.
